After
heat treatment, usually parts come out a little distorted due to the
quick change in temperature during quench. Before age hardening, the
parts should first be straightened, and that's why we have a Check and
Straighten department. We perform all work in-house, and can hold
tolerance to parts as tight as .005". The Check and Straighten
personnel are well trained people who can straighten almost anything.
They have many years of experience and perform their jobs at
exceptional levels. Newton provides this department with some of the
most advanced straightening tools in the industry.
Once
the work is performed and the paperwork is verified, the parts go to
the next stage of processing, which normally is age hardening. |
