Newton
Heat Treating works to your exact specifications on
every kind of aluminum component from small hardware
to large structural pieces. We perform all work in-house,
holding to tolerances as tight as .005". We offer
techniques, equipment, testing and services unmatched
in our industry.
Newton maintains a complete forming shop that works
from your fixtures, splashes and mylars. Equipment
ranges up to a 250-ton hydraulic arbor press and includes
a torsional bender to perform de-twisting on your
components. So when you require any kind of forming
or straightening, we can handle it.
In our precision glycol quenching, Newton technicians
can vary the bath quenching concentration to match
your parts, and specifications. Newton was one of
the first commercial heat treaters to use polymer
quenching from the experimental stages to full production
basis on every air furnace. This type of distortion-preventing
quenching coats the parts correctly, slows the quench
rate, and provides a softer quench for those intricate
and delicate parts that would distort with a water
quench. Our process gives your components less stress
and longer shelf life.
In addition, parts go directly into the quench when
the furnace discharges. Our spray tanks with hundreds
of high pressure jets, in conjunction with a drop
of only a few inches, provide precisely controlled
cooling of sheet metal batch after batch.
